because they can hear my country twang comin' out... and sometimes we have cool interviews... and we play johnny cash.
(q) what animal most characterizes you and why?
the sassafrasquatch... you know, the giant monkey man who supposedly cruises around the northwestern united states scaring locals and tourists alike. that's what i like to do in my time off too...

(q) what do you think of your callers?
my callers on the sassmo show were sometimes kinda weird or eccentric. most of the callers i've gotten on my new show have been people calling and thanking me for doing music that hasn't been on ktuh for a while or is stuck in freeform. that and i've noticed that on mondays there's this one kid who always calls and he sounds stoned out of his mind and always requests reggae, no matter if it's dr. dread's jazz show or my bluegrass/blues show...
