kit's own show (saturdays 9 to midnight)

(q) what animal most characterizes you and why?
a human. for obvious reasons. :)

(q) what would you like to say to your former listeners/callers?
fond greetings to the little old lady who hates beethoven!

(q) what was the best thing you remember about being a part of ktuh?
the people, the buzz of performing and the challenge of keeping the station going with little funding and lots of heart. i was there from sept 1981 to late 1986. i was production manager for several years, that was fun. i helped write a lot of station policies (including the student status requirements and exit-after-graduation procedures, and was the first staffer to lose my show 1 semester after graduation in accordance with it. i was sad to go, but knew it was a good policy that would keep ktuh fresh and vital for *students*. so i actually remember leaving ktuh fondly as well.

(q) what have you been doing since leaving ktuh?
worked in radio (kccn, kgu), helped start and run a few high tech companies (lavanet, tiki technologies). achieved a few gray hairs. volunteered as a crisis counsellor. served as a board member on the bca for 4 years. currently on the board of the american civil liberties union of hawaii. learned to love cilantro.
